Join us and RootOne for a virtual Hanukkah event on Sunday, December 10th at 4 PM EST called Big Tent/ One Light. The event will include a Q&A with a Jewish influencer, a RootOne alum panel, candle lighting, musical performances, and prizes. We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support! We have received $85,419 from over 220 Longhorn and Aggie alumni, parents, and friends during our Giving Tuesday Unity Campaign.

This generosity empowers us to make an important impact on the lives of thousands of Jewish students across UT and A&M during this challenging time.

Hey y'all, my name is Rachel Nudelman. I'm a junior in actuarial science at UT with a minor in Russian.

The first time I came to Texas Hillel, I was in highschool, visiting my brother. The community here welcomed me with open arms and made me feel at home. I came to UT, unsure of what my relationship with Judaism was going to be like. My first two weeks at UT, I was really lonely. I didn't know anyone here, and I had yet to find my community. I decided to do something about it, so I joined clubs and started going to Hillel events. My friends and I started walking as a group from the quad every week to Shabbat. Thanks to that, I found my community here, and I've been coming weekly ever since.

This semester, I joined the soup squad, and I started delivering soup to students under the weather. It's been a really rewarding experience.

I might not literally be the child of Hillel anymore, but I will never forget all the memories and friends that I've made here and I can't wait to make many more.
Now I've joined other communities, like the rugby team and the Association for Women in Math, but my college experience would not be complete without Hillel.
